In Sanctuary / Recovering
After a bird is placed with Harley's Haven and before they are ready for adoption, they are in sanctuary. Birds in sanctuary may have health or behavioral problems that we are working to correct. Birds may be in sanctuary for several weeks or several months before they are ready to be placed into permanent adoptive homes.

Available for Adoption
Many of Harley's Haven residents are available for
permanent placement into adoptive homes. So that they continue to
improve in health and behavior, Harley's Haven carefully screens each
applicant for adoption. See our section on Adoption for more information.
