HARLEYSHAVEN  FIRST OFFICAL NEWSLETTER

WIth this being the First Newsletter  this will be a work in progress.

WONDERFUL NEWS

We here at the rescue are starting the New Year off with a big bang, We are  officially a 501(c)  rescue  all donations are tax deductible, and the work will begin on applying for grants to help make things bigger and better here for all our feathered  friends.

SO Many birds  here at Harleyshaven for adoption   so please spread the word that many birdies need new and loving homes.  The adoption page will be updated soon with all new pictures of all the wonderful birds.  In the meantime  please let people know  just fill out an application and in the application to state what type of bird they are interested in adopting and we can let them know who we have.

The new issue  of Birds USA  has so many great articles  with alot of important information.  Over the next couple of weeks  new pages under the care section will be added using pieces from this issue.   Be sure to check back for these updates.

With Santa on his way to the North Pole   if any of the good little birdies received new things for christmas   consider donating any of the used things (such as perches (in useable condition), dishes, toy parts ( yes all those toys that are torn apart,  the parts that are still intact can be used to restring new toys).   We do it often here at the rescue to make sure everyone has a toy.   We also make our own toys so donation of wood would also be appreciate.

In the coming issues  we will be featuring a bird for adoption with picture and brief note about them.   This will start as of next month.

If there is anything you would like to see included in the newsletters  please send an email to Harleyshaven1@verizon.net  and let me know.

Thanks to all that help make the lives of all the birds here alittle bit more brighter.

Lisa and all the crew
